in 1964 the 'model 925 defender' was introduced again, this time based of the model 999's of the era, it has a small grip frame with special one piece plastic shaped birds head grips. the barrel lengths offered were 2 1/2 and 4inch, the 4 inch was dropped early on but the 2 1/2 inch stayed in production until 1979. there was also a nickel version model 935 offered for a few years 1977-1979.

hawkeye...$225 for an H&R...I just bought an S&W Model 33 in 95% condition for $150...I think I and your friend both got great deals. Mine is backpacking gun...better than a 22LR and a lot cheaper than a 4 inch S&W in 38 Special I looked at. Ballistically it isn't a lot less than a standard 38 Special. 0 -
you may be right my friend,i was interested in one like it but i wanted the walnut handles therefore i didnt buy it ,but some people will pay more depending on what they like,I myself love the top breaks. 0
