  Your ser# tells me you have a K frame revolver made in late 1948.
  
  The numbering sequence was used for all K frame Mod.s 14, 15, 16, 17,18, 19, 48, 53, 66, 67, 68, & their pre-model variations.
  
  Features will identify the exact model name (pre model). With 22lr & 6" barrel, yours probably is the "Model K-22 Masterpiece" (Postwar, 3rd Model) also called "Pre-Model 17".
