Ranger 16ga shotgun takedown (sears & roebuck)
A pard brought me a 16ga sears and roebuck "ranger" bolt action shotgun today. I am supposed to clean it and make it ready for firing. I have managed to get the bolt into the cocked position so it cycles and fires.
However, I have yet to figure out how to release the bolt. Anyone got a clue as to how to remove the bolt[?]

Pull back on trigger while pulling bolt back. Most of the time that is how you remove the bolt from these type of guns. 0 -
Most use the "hold trigger back" system of takedown
Some use the "push trigger forward" system
A few use a screw (back it out/remove it) or other mechanicial stop)0 -

mmmkay, will check when I get home tonight. I tried the pull back on the trigger thing to no avail, that was my first thought as well. 0
