magtech ammunition

Good evening everyone, I bought a box of Magtech .45 ACP ammo this afternoon. It is the standard 230 grain hardball target ammo, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I got it for $21.00 a box of 50, is this a good price? Thanks.

    The local gun shop was selling it for $23 per box last time I was in there. I load my own so I've never shot Magtech's loaded ammo but their bullets are what I use most often in loading my own. Have no reason to complain.

    shot some of their loaded ammo years ago and liked it. agree with rawhide, their bullets are a great buy and use them as my primary supply for reloading.

    good ammo never had a problem.
    they also have copper hollow points no lead in them just straight copper

    I've used the Magtech in .44 special and .44 magnum, and it was good stuff.

    Never used the .45ACP, though I can't imagine why it wouldn't also be good ammo.

    I think $21 for a box of Magtech is a good price *for that ammo*.

    Still, arguably, if you're just shooting plain 230 grain ball ammo, you're unlikely to see much benefit with premium Magtech ammo vs cheaper brands.

    IMO you get Magtech because you want premium hunting ammo, or hollowpoint defensive ammo.

    Well the reason I picked up this ammo was that it was available (Wally World was sold out of all handgun ammunition!!!!). With our new president and congress, it is increasingly harder and harder to get ammunition.
