can I shoot 2 3/4 shells through gun rated 3"

hello, have a stoeger o\u and is rated for 3" shells ...is it ok to put 2 3/4 through it without any problems.....thanks everyone who knows more than me

    Not a problem, but remember to clean it out really good before you shoot 3 inch shells in it.
    The shorter ones may leave a residue in the chamber that could be a problem, no reason to take that chance, so be sure to clean it good.....

    That is not a problem, just don't put a 3 incher in a 2 3/4 gun. It will be just fine with that advice.

    Assuming they are both the same gauge shell, sure it will be fine....
