Savage Model 3

I have been looking for a bolt for my Savage mode 3 rifle. I was informed that bolts from other Savage models my interchange. Does anyone have any info on these bolts and models ?

  I need a bolt assy for a savage model 3 22 cal single shot rifle. If not the complete, everything except the body, firing pin, main spring please let me know what you have

  I believe the bolt for the Savage 3A will interchange with a model 3. I say this because I receive a model 3 and model 3A from a relative. When I received the gift, the bolts were removed and were wrapped in an oily rag. I picked one at random and placed it in the rifle, then the other. I guess I could have just gotten lucky. One bolt has a nickel plated bolt handle and the other is plain steel. I try tonight to see if they interchange and let you know.
