Lefever Nitro Assembly Problem

Does anyone know the trick for compressing the hammer springs on the Lefever Nitro SXS shotgun in order to slide the drift pin through the hammers? Thanks

  57 cuss words help, you may have to make a small tool to do this. I haven't work on a lefever myself but many similar shotguns.try grinding an old screw driver to fit the hammers contour so you have more control while pushing them in place.
