Ranger(Marlin) 90 .410

Hello, just picked up a Ranger .410 O/U. Not sure how to take the gun down. Removed the two screws on the fore end but it will not slide off. Figured it would take down like any other O/U. Also, any idea on dates of production? Mine is serial number 1584. Other thing I discovered was the gun was choked CYL(top) and IM(bottom) would that have been a common combination?   I'm pretty sure on that model you just snap the forarm off. The 2 screws only secure the wood to the iron.

  Thank you, you are right. The forearm does just pop right off, very simple.
