? about my Colt MK IV/ Series 70

Ive got a Colt Goverment Model ive noticed that it's slide and frame has small punch marks in it i think the previous owner put them in it maybe to help the slide keep lube in it but im not realy sure!? need a little help in this and woundering if it affect the worth of the gun??

  In general, any blemishes affect the value.
  
  Permanent ones - like yours - more so.
  
  There are many that simply wouldn't buy it because of the punch marks.

  [:0][:(][xx(][:(!][V]. That is a strange way to treat metal just to get it to hold oil. IMHO what he did would kill all colector value but it may still be a shooter. Most guns function better the smoother the surfaces that move against each other are.

  Some folks have strange ideas.
  
  I bought an early Ruger Bearcat from a guy who had punched 20 holes in the box lid; he wanted to be sure that the gun could breath! (A real shame, as it would have been a $50 box if pristine.)
