Hello, I am new to the forum and hope someone can help. I just picked up another model 97 take down and the top of the reciever on this one is matted. Haven't seen this. The slide is marked model 97 the serial # dates it 1940. From what i have read matted recievers where on trap models but the bolt is not marked trap thank's Gary

    I have a winchester 97 serial#413201 with a two barrel set 32 inch full and a 26 inch improved cylinder...what would the value be?

    We'll need to know more about it, condition is everything. Photos would be even more helpful.

    Are both barrel assemblies serial number to the gun?

    The serial number tells me that it is a "D" series gun that was manufactured in the year 1908.

    The value is highly dependent on whether or not both barrel assemblies are factory original to the gun. The next most important factor is the graded condition (which you did not mention). If you can post (or send me) pictures of both barrel assemblies to include all of the factory markings on each one of them, I can determine if they are original or not. Additional pictures of the receiver frame will help to grade the condition.
