Should I carry this gun II
The Star .380 is a great little gun. Any gunsmith should be able to figure out what is wrong with it, as they are basically miniature 1911s. They are not blowback-they are locked breech guns. Unless the recoil spring "got stronger" it will have nothing to do with the stovepiping problem.

Since this thread is re-opened, I'd like to add one thing.
Obviously, the goal is to have a gun that is 100% reliable, or as close to that as you can get.
But IMO, I'd rather have a gun on hand that was unreliable than no gun whatsoever.
Statistically about 90% of civilian gun "incidents" are resolved with one shot or less.
If this were the only pistol I had, I'd still be willing to carry it, knowing that I might only get one shot, or that (more likely) I might have to manually clear the gun between shots.0
