Bersa Thunder in .22

Are they any good? I know the .380's are but I have never dealt with one in .22.

  I have a bersa 622 and a 644 and are fine with hotter ammo, but I have no experiance with the thunder.

  Bersa .22's are very popular, and hard to get models. For some reason the .380's, are way more common. If you have a chance of getting your hands on one at a fair price, I wouldn't hesitate. If you go over to the www.rimfirecentral.com forum, they are much discussed and highly though of.

  recently got a bersa firestorm sport model 22 with 6" barrel...seems well made but haven't shot it enough to really break in yet...fits hand & points well...pleased at this point

  IMO, it's a pretty cheaply made, lower quality pistol. The magazines are especially shoddy. This is a purely "plinker" pistol, buy it for fun, but don't expect a quality heirloom. Ergonomics and sights are good. The trigger is OK, but reliability is skippy. I'm not saying don't buy, just don't expect much. When compared to really good .22lr pistols such as the Walther PP, Buckmark, Ruger, etc. the FS22 just doesn't stand up. I recently bought a Daewoo DP52 that makes the Firestorm look bad. See if you can find one of those instead.
