Colt Commander in satin nickel......

From the sunny south...[8D],

I have never worked with the satin nickel finish like that on the Colt Commander here in stock.....can it be polished??? Or will the finish simply be smoothed out or just plain ruined?

  Ruined. Look closely with a loupe & you will see it was bead blasted before plating; that is how they get the "satin" appearance.
