Any Info on a CZ

I have a CZ 380 cal. that has been in my family for at least 45 years, I am looking for info and what it is worth, also what model it is. I have pics of it just havent figured out how to get them loaded to here. On the right side it has a J 37 in between the J and 37 is what looks to be a walking animal. On the top of the slide it reads (CESKA ZBROJOVKA A.S.v PRAZE) and then the serial #. Thats about all of the info there is.I do know it came back here from WWII. Any info would help me.

    From your description it is most likely that the Pistol is a Czech Military Model CZ 24 similar to this one. They were the standard military pistol of the Czech armed forces prior to W W II. It would be best if you could post quality photos of your pistol. Much information is available on-line regarding the CZ 24, by GOOGLEING.

    I have tried posting pics I put them on photoshed with no luck yet. That looks exactly like the one I have only difference is mine has the stock plastic grip.

    Yep it is a CZ24, originally designed by a Mauser designer and then produced later at CZ. They are some nice pre war guns. Without pics its hard to determine value.

    Your photos are kind of small, hard to see fine detail and finish on pistol, i.e. factory original, cosmetics, etc?

    If it's original and at least very good condition, my WAG is that it would be in the $300-$500 range.

    There is regular and longer frame for these. The long frame pistol should have a 9 shot mag, and the shorter an 8 shot mag. The longer frame models go for more from my understanding, unless they bear Nazi and Kriegsmarine proofs. Nazi and Kriegsmarine markings with bring a premium that can DOUBLE the price. The ladder bringing a lot more.
