Does anyone know how to remove the buttpad from a Safari Magnum?

  1st check for screw holes with a probe, if no screw holes you'll need a saw. I've seen some that were glued on.

  tape it off and refinish without removing.

  Mike Wiskey had it right. My BAR Safari .338 Win Mag has the top screw 7/8 in. down from the top. Can't find the other one, but I'm sure it's there.
  Use a sharp probe.
