FN pistols? FnP 40 or 45's

any one own or shot the FNH pistols are they worth consideration or are they junk? thanks for any help.PS i mean the FNH FNP40,or the FNP 45's. these are made in South Carolina USA.

    I was fortunate enough to find a dealer a while back with two w/ concectuative S/N & bought them both. Don't use FN & junk in the same sentance. Beautiful piece. The only downside is the cost of ammo. Dad nver said this hobby was going to be cheap!

    I carry an FNP 45, and I can honestly say that I am very confident this pistol will function perfectly if I need it to save my life. It has not jammed, misfed, misfired, or even missed the target. In fact, I was surprised at the accuracy, regardless of what kind of ammo I shoot with it. The only problem is finding a high quality holster that is made for the FNP 45. Right now, my favorite holster is the back pocket of my Levis, although with the temperatures warming up, I won't be wearing long enough jackets to cover it up.

    Bottom line, buy the FNP with confidence.

    br549...several years ago I bought a new FN Forty-Nine 40 RSS, made in SC. I wondered if the quality was there compared to the old FN from Belgium. Not to worry as the pistol has been great and has lived up every bit to the older FN tradition. Don't think you can go wrong. Good shooting!

    I picked up an FNP 45 a few months ago, and it is the best pistol purchase I've ever made.

    Immeasurably better than the XD-45, slightly heavier, much more rugged, hammer fired with decocker/safety - can't say enough positive about it as compared to the XD. The Made In USA label is icing on a very good cake.

    It points and shoots as well as the Kimbers, and though it really cannot be compared directly to the 1911, it is every bit as comfortable and accurate.

    And everything what sharkman69 said, though the holster kit that comes with the pistol is much superior to the back-pocket of your jeans.
