Folks: I am searching for a Gunsmith who will denickle and reparkerize a Colt 1911A1. Thankyou

  I'm not for sure, but try contacting the guy who builds the "Mini-G", over on the auction side. His primary business is Parkerizing, I just don't know if he can do the unplating.

  Some makers take the thickness of their plating into account when building guns. By de nickeling the gun and going to another treatment, you can loosen it up a bit.
