I have a Rockola M1 Carbine with the barrel stamped.

    I was wondering if anyone knew a left handed saftey lever is avalible for the M1 Carbine or if its possible for the existing lever to be fliped around so it can be better opperated by a left-handed shooter.

    Build or not to build... is entirely up to you.

    If you want to build a carbine, you already have the 3 most expensive parts needed to start. You will need to buy all the parts for the trigger housing, a stock, bolt etc.

    If you decide to sell everything, the receiver, "the serial numbered part", would have to go to an FFL or C&R license holder. The barrel and trigger housing are just "parts" and can be sold without any regulations.

    Since both Inland & Saginaw Divisions of GM made their own barrels, it's odd that he had a Buffalo Arms barrel. But, there was a lot of parts exchange between makers to make up for shortages, so anything is possible.

    You really can't build "a SG carbine", as most of the other parts will be difficult to find. There are lots of fake parts out there, & it would be an exericise in frustration to try. And, at best, you will just have a "parts" carbine.

    You probably could get a good price for the parts you have if you list them on GB. Like Lefty says, it's up to you.

    hello, if you have to ask, then you are really not willing or wanting to build. if this is the case, i would would list the parts on gun broker and make yourself some money. redman

    Thanks for the input. In a sense an original could have mixed parts. It would be a challenge to find parts of the same finish and wear, but keeping a part of family and American history... Redman's probably right.

    I am going to start putting the parts on GB today. Need a new barrel for a Forehand 32cal that has been sitting around for ever.
