Volquartsen Evolution
I just won a brown laminate stocked Volquartsen Evolution in 223 (the last 5 minutes of the auction are always a bit nerve wracking!)and wonder if anyone has one, what's their experience on function and accuracy and overall shooting experience. I reload and given the rate of twist I'm inclined to use 60 to 69 grain bullets.

I have a Volquartsen Evolution in 223 Remington and it's been nothing but problems, wonder if anyone else has experience with the rifle as I'm about 1 problem away from dumping this thing.
The gun uses an AR type bolt with a heavy bolt carrier. In problem one, the bolt shattered on firing and the gun locked up - firing pin shattered also. Had to be sent back to the factory for repair. First time shooting after repair the extractor broke after about 100 rounds - the extractor lip sheared off. It's a simple fix but having consecutive problems with the gun associated with the bolt is a concern.
If anyone has specific experience with the Volquartsen Evolution and can relate problems or concerns - or that the thing works great - I'd like to hear.0 -
Have you talked with the manufacturer? Is it early manufacture? Has the manufacturer seen similar problems in other guns or did you just get a lemon? 0 -

I'll be chatting with them Monday, my serial number is about 0200 so I suppose it's an earlier one. I don't hold out alot of hope for a manufacturer to tell me (if it's true) that they goofed in design or execution so I figure info from other owners would be helpful.0
