.32 auto pistol

Im told its military related. Was my fathers. He served in wwII.Has a round seal like engraving on front of barrel housing. Astra in the seal. On left top rear of receiver it has printed "guernica espana".
On right side of receiver is printed "unceta y compania s. a." anyone do spanish? sn 611237 is on right side at rear of slide and on right side of frame behind grip. wood diamond checkered grips.On left side of frame behind grip is an x in a banner like emblem with unidentifible engraving above. next is an N. next is a P in round emblem with what appears to be a fuselike engraving on top. this emblem is on the firearm in three places. At left side of slide near end and on the barrel at ejection port. Has a clip with no markings at all. Leather holster very worn and very military like in appearance. Any thoughts would be apprecaited.

    Astra was a very prolific Spanish handgun manufacturer. They were in business for 80 years. During that time they made many different models of 32 caliber pistols.

    This pistol is the Model that they made during the World War II years. Many were obtained by the Germans when they occupied France, for use by their military.

    It would be best for definitive identification, if you could post photos of the pistol your Father brought home from W W II.
