Winchester model 70 xtr featherweight.

I did a search and found no information on what XTR means.
I picked up a xtr featherweight it is a push feed, made in 82-84 any info would be greatly appreciated.

  xtr means extra finish on blue and wood and these model 70 and 94's (they were all xtr model this time period of mfg) xtr's sell quick and compare in no way to a pig

  Thanks for the replies. I had wanted a featherweight for a Looonng Time nice balanced little rifle.

  All of the xtr's were made after 1964.

  I was always under the impression it stood for Extended Range...but I dont know if that makes any since since I have seen shotguns that were xtr...
