Collectable Ammo

I have five unopened/sealed boxes of 7.62 MM NATO ammunition that my Dad traded for many years ago and I was wondering if they have any value. On the box is 1966 Match Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. It is 7.62 MM NATO M 118 Lot LC 12054 Bullet 173 grains Velocity 2550 FPS. Any information about what this ammo was for historically or in current collectable value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance............Les

  Welcome. Match ammunition was used by rifle teams in rifle matches, primarily.

  I have a box of 1956 Lake City Match and paid $16.25. I purchased the box approximately two years ago. The box is still sealed and mint.
  
  My experience has been that this variety of ammunition is pretty much shooters ammo right now and doesn't command much if any premium as a collectible. I was at a gun show a little over one year ago and a guy was selling boxes of match 7.62 from several crates.
