xd9 factory rear sight question

I have shot about 1500 rounds through my XD9 Tactical. it seemed to shoot to the left, but I just thought it was me. Tonight as I was cleaning my gun I did a close inspection of the rear sight and it seems to be about 1/16" off center to the left. There is a small line etched on the right side of the sight in the dove tail. 1. Should the edge of the sight be at this line. 2. Can I bump this over with a brass punch or should it be adjusted by a gunsmith.

  I have replaced alot of sights on the XD's (150-200). They are the tightest fitting sights I have ever dealt with. Take it to a gunsmith and have them do it. They should have the correct tools for the job and won't scar the gun or damage the sights.
