winchester 1892 stock

will the Winchester 1892 rifle stock and forearm interchange with a 1873 Winchester wood set?

  Hello 1988RRC,
  No.
  The lower tang on a 73 is about 4 11/16". A 92 is about 3 7/8". I don't know if the 92 forearm will interchange. I believe that they are the same lengths. Of course, the small calibers will not fit the larger caliber magazine tube.

  The Model 1892 and 1894 stocks are interchangable to a point, but not with a Model 1873.

  what about the 1876 butt stock fitting on a 1873? will it fit?
