Auction: Nickled Luger
Tomorrow there is a local auction, and there is a large German Luger which is bright Nickle, maybe chrome. Looks buffed.
I didn't look to see who made it, but that can't be original, right?
Larger than a Ruger Mark II, but still looks like a target pistol.

Unless you want it for a shooter forget it as its days as a collector piece are over, unless its not German and a copy by someone else then they should have made it the same size as the orginal. Ha Ha ,is it that much bigger than normal. 0 -
And, you would be taking a big chance hoping to use it as a shooter. The Luger is made to close tolerances, & between taking away (polishing) & adding (plating), it may or may not function reliably.

There was a stainless steel 9mm luger made in the U.S. during the 1990's. Both Stoeger, ( U.S. owner of the Luger name ) and other companies sold it back then. If this what is on the auction? It would be original, and more valuable then a German one that was plated. 0 -
R-S is right, it could be a Mitchell or Stoeger. I'm assuming that the gun MBK saw IS German, since he said "German Luger", but maybe he was unable to see the markings.
