More ?s on the H&K 300
Would parts be readily available for this if I decide to purchase? From the post to my earlier question it seems that I couldnt go wrong at 700.00, although parts would be easy to get for the ruger.

It depends on what you are looking for. I guess I'm confused as to why you are comparing an HK 300 and 10/22. That is like comparing a Corvette against a Yugo. If you are just looking for a plinking 22, then get the 10/22 and use the extra money to buy toys and ammo for it, you will be happier in the long run, and someone who really appreciates the quality of the HK will get a chance to buy it. If you are looking for a great rifle that shoots great right out of the box, and will be worth more 10 years down the road, then you should get the HK. 0 -
Not comparing them. But if something breaks on the H&K and parts arent available what use is it. And I do plan on shooting it. Once again not comparing

If its a discontinued model, replacement parts are going to be hard to come by as most European gun companies, like H&K,have a habit of not making replacement parts when they drop a particular gun from their catalog.Though if anything does break, maybe you could get a skilled gunsmith could make the part.just a thought. 0
