value Browning A Bolt Hunter II BOSS 30-06
I have a Browning a Bolt Hunter II with the BOSS system in 30-06 cal. I bought it in 1991 and have only put 20 to 30 rounds of ammo through it and I clean it thoroughly every six months or so otherwise it is in a gun safe. I do not use it so I need to know a relative value so I can sell it. It is exceptional in its condition and has a beautiful walnut engraved stock with a blued 22' barrel. Can anyone tell me what it is worth these days? Thanks

I'm sure I could sell it anywhere for $1.00 no reserve but since I'm not ignorant I think my own comparisons with what I have seen on GA and here as well as other sites value it between $750 and $950. I thank you for opening my eyes to the variety of characters out there..0 -
1.00 start was for an auction here,,, then it gets bid up from there for 7, 10, or 14 days. ITS called a No Reserve Auction// No, did not mean you sell it for 1 dollar. I maybe was off with the price with the Boss system......hang aroung,,,its ok here...nambu 0 -
Cedar Swamp, I think you are expecting too much for your Browning A-bolt II. I just searched 90 days back right here on gunbroker, and not a one sold (or even got a bid) when listed at $699 or higher... and most of those were brand new guns. Also, rifles with Boss can be harder to sell. Most folks prefer them without the deafening muzzle blast. With some patience, I'm sure it would sell here on GB, though. Probably easier to sell next August-Sept-Oct.
Good luck. mak
P.S. I would expect to get from $495 - $595 for it), as you described it (especially with the economy the way it is. Right inline with nambu's estimate.0 -

Thanks guys I will take it all into consideration, I am aware of how no reserve works and all and currently I am not willing to go that route, but I did see several of the same exact type "offered" within the price range I mentioned but as you point out none of them sold at the asking price. If I had posted pictures you might see how well cared for this rifle is. That being said I don't want my own opinion to defer me from selling it at a fair price. The economy is sure wreaking havoc on all sectors that's for sure. Will consider all options for now.. and not in a hurry so I have that on my side..thank you0
