Trigger pull Taurus PT 1911SS

There is some sort of adjustment hole in the front of the trigger. What is this adjustment for.


Reason Mine had a lot of slack, then kind of Mushes as it trips. Nothing crisp.

  That is for "Over travel". It takes the excessive movement out of the trigger after the trigger breaks.

  Any hints on the trigger pull. Or has anybody else ran into this.

  A 1911 type pistol Should have a minimum of a 4 pound trigger pull to be safe and LEGAL in some matches with 230 grain ball ammo . Match grade trigger pulls can be had on 1911 type pistols but it takes someone with Knowledge to modify the parts and then other parts may have to be replaced as the fire control parts as well as the safeties all have to interact to have a light trigger pull and also be safe .
