    Try KNS Precision, Inc.

Glad to hear of your problems, no I really am. I will have to do more checking. Yours are the first problems I have heard of. I will call the owner today to make sure they are aware of this and rectify it!

    Thanks for the info,

    Lance

I will not recommend these until I contact them and figure them out. I know the owner and will speak to him and see what is going on.

    THANK YOU

http://www.knsprecisioninc.com/Gun Parts.htm It is the perma-pin and is easily broken. I have tried them and broken them all. YMMV.

I tried THREE of these pins and they all broke in a short time. I will stick with the standard cotter pins. Try Brownells. They will have both styles them. www.brownells.com

I can't seem to find it but, in one of the many AR15 parts catalogues, I saw for sale a pin or rod that replaces the cotter key/pin in the bolt carrier of the AR15. Does anyone know what this pin or rod is called and who sells it? It seems it might be an improvement over the cotter pin.

    WHY?

I too tried them and had 2 of them break with low round counts. I have yet to have any problems with the cotter pins. FYI the solid pin was part of the original design for the M16 but was changed early on for reasons unknown(broke too often maybe).
