bullet feed

Circuit Rider
I have a 45 Baby Eagle, and want to shoot cast bullets. Am using 230 gr.rn. They will not feed without hanging. Is a possible solution polishing the feed, and if so is that something I can do? Thanks, Circuit Rider

    When you load 45ACP you need to bell the case mouth to keep from scraping lead of the bullet You then need to close the mouth so that the case mouth does NOT hang on the chamber mouth The best way to do this is use 2 dies one too seat the bullet and then a TAPER crimp die to close the mouth after the bullet is seated in the seater die to proper OAL. If you try to do this with one die the bullet is still being pressed down when you are trying to close the mouth [:(!][xx(][:(] and if the cases vary in length and you are using a roll crimp it will under crimp the short cases[:(] and over crimp and budge the long cases [:0][xx(]
