Bushnell Elite Question?

Thanks for all of your help on my previous post on scope help. Well, I went with the Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5x10x40 and love it. I really like the raingaurd it works and the firefly rectile. I have got a problem when mounting,I was wondering if any one else had incountered this problem. I mounted it on my Tikka with low mounts and have around 3/16 of an inch between the objective and barrel.The problem I am having is when you look through the scope at the bottom there is a small blurr. I played around with it and figured out it was the scope picking up the end of my barrel. I can tip the scope up in the rings and it goes away. I don't want higher mounts as they are not something I would change. I have had about every name brand scope made and never had this problem. I really need some suggestions or any remedies for this problem because I love this scope. Thanks

    Does the blur go away on higher power (field of view is narrower)??? Does Bbl have a front ramp type sight??? (probably not). Your choices are few with that set up. Higher rings. Shoot on higher power, not good. Get diff. scope. Shorten Bbl. not likely. Lastly, Depending on how big the blur is, you will eventually get used to it. Shouldn't have to. How did you get this scope, without a trial mounting to check it out??? Good luck

    I'm with Emmett. I have the same situation on a couple of my rifles. Small price to pay for the lower mounting. At least on mine it isn't a factor at lower powers which is where I always start the day anyway. If I jump a nice whitetail at 20 yards I don't need to be looking for him in a 9X field. If he's off at 200 plus yards and I have the need and the time for more power, the last thing I see or am concerned with is the barrel blur at the bottom. Not where I'm looking! And in either situation the advantage of having good solid contact with the stock is a real plus.
