FN FAL KIT
If a person with a good knowledge of firearms be able to assemble a fn fal parts kit using a FAC receiver, without special tools??

The short answer is building a fal up from a kit is alot more involved then building up an AR type rifle and will include some special parts and tooling. This question has been around a couple of times recently. Try a search and you should get all the info and website suggestions you need. 0 -
You need a few tools, and a selection of a few parts (shoulder locking ring). 0 -
Not really. You'll need a receiver wrench and barrel vice, a set of head space gauges, and a way to measure for the correct locking shoulder just to name a few. Not a hard project though once you get what you need. 0 -
I watched Marc Krebs of Krebs Custom build one in about 30 minutes. However, he had to turn down the barrel stub on one of his metal lathes. 0 -

Receiver wrench (I deem very necessary) There nightmare story's of guys trying to use large pipe wrench's and bending the receiver accidently. Penny wise dollar foolish.

Get one of those buttstock wrenches.... Man, you shoulda seen the nightmare putting that long doubled up spring.... ugh nevermind, just get one. 0
