Any one know the usual markup for a Dakota rifle. Nice guns but I am thinking if the markup is %50 they are only worth 1/2 of what the average pilgrim has to pay.

I do not think they are worth that much.

There's no free lunch and you generally get what you pay for. IMHO Dakota's are worth the $$, but I'm just as happy with a nice Ruger.

Whats the markup on food at the supermarket? It's around 50%.

If it's not worth it to you, don't buy it.

In general it is "whatever the traffic will bear". If they price them too high they don't sell. For that matter, is Dakota still making anything? I wouldn't be surprised to see some deals going around. If not now, then soon....

Interestingly food is marked up on average LESS than 15 % usually under 10 %. There are several layers of middlemen main distributor then the food broker.

I believe Dakota is out of business.
