hi, my father owns a big Colt Walker, he says it was made in 1847, what's the value in $?

Need lots of pictures, detailed description, etc. You may want to check out the nearby thread on "Second Gen. Colt Blackpowders" for some excellent and indepth history on Colts.
If it is, in fact, an original Walker Colt you're talking big bucks.0 -
As RCrosby indicates, clear high resolution pictures are really needed for this gun, especially all markings. An authentic and original Walker is very valuable!!
