Hornady L-N-L ap
I just bought the Hornady L-N-L ap press. I set it up and started loading shells and I have a couple issues.
First problem I have is that i am getting different amounts of powder each time. What is the problem? I have everything tight so it can't move. I just have a cheap scale so I am gonna buy a new one just in case that is the problem.
Second problem is the shell plate. When I pull the lever to run the usual rotation, when the plate is coming back down it doesnt spin all the way like it is suppose to.For primers to get pushed in, it has to be in the exact right spot. Beings it doesn't rotate all the way when I go to push the lever foward to seat the primer, the plate didn't spin far enough for the primer to go in. What can i do so I don't have to nudge the plate to finish the revolution? It is only about 1 centimeter away from being in place but I still have to finish spinning it by hand.

Get your instruction book out and read pages 17 & 18.
It sonds like the left pawl needs to be adjusted.0 -
look up Hornady Lock n Load AP on youtube.com and they have videos 1-12 on everything you need to set it up. They are made by Hornady and they are pretty detailed. 0
