    Best to post quality photos for identification purposes. There is a "STICKY" near the top of first page with information on posting photos.

    Usually European made firearms have proof marks that will give you a indication of country of origin and sometimes date of manufacture.

    Saint Etienne is a city in France where many of the French firearms manufacturers, and a large government arsenal was located.

    The marking M 920 suggests perhaps that the revolver is Italian in origin. It's quite common to find older Italian firearms marked with a 3 digit number, i.e. the 920 would represent the date 1920.
