Received old .380 mod. 70S for xmas. Would like an owners manual. Would like to know when manufactured. Belonged to inlaw that is no longer with us.

  You can get an owners manual on the Beretta USA website. They also have some dates of manufacture for some models there.
  
  You must spell the name correctly to find the site.

  Look at the area around the trigger guard and you should see a two letter code. If you give us those two letters were can date the pistol.

  The numbers on the trigger guard are 6XX and SN is sn 5933

  If the Roman Numerals are "XX" as you state, that is the Italian coded Proof Date for 1964.
