Savage 1915 barrel - same as 1907?
I have a Savage 1915 .32 that jammed a bullet in the barrel on the third shot when I was shooting at a 6 foot rattlesnake and then jammed a second one when I didn't realize it and fired again in the excitement. I've manually removed the most of the lead by hand with drills of increasing size leaving a small ring of lead about a 64th thick. I've been told the barrel might be bulged, although it measures the same diameter along it's length on the outside using digital calipers. Should I find a gunsmith who can ream out the bore or is it toast?
And if it is toast, can I replace the barrel with one from a more common 1907 .32 pistol? The thin metal piece for the loaded chamber indicator is missing and I don't remember if it was there before the jam or if it might have been blown off by the back-pressure that blew off one of the grips on the second jam shot. Would the indicator on a 1907 barrel be the same as the 1915?
Finally, I have three military holsters made for savage 1907s that also fit my 1915 and I only need one. Is there a market for old Savage military holsters?

Yes, the barrel on a 1907 and a 1915 are the same,as long as they are both .32 or both .380. You will find that looking for 1915 parts to be a beating, meaning they are few and far between. There is a market for the military holsters you have. 0 -
Thanks for the reply and the information. Someone suggested carefully melting the remaining lead from the barrel and I may try that before I give up on it, but it also is missing the loaded chamber indicator which may have been blown off when it jammed or may have been missing before; I can't remember for sure if it was there before.
Is there a site that might specialize in military holsters for these Savage pistols, or is eBay a reasonable place to list them?
