Browning Automatic 30-06 Rifle
Hello[:)]
I just purchased a used Browning Automatic 30-06 rifle. My question is if anyone could tell me the year it was manufactured or where it was manufactured. It has a 5 digit serial number 127XX with M7 next to it. It also says "Made In Belguim" on the barrel.[?] I have heard that they have been made in other countries. If anyone knows any information that could help answer these questions, please contact me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Gary

1967; first year of manufacture I think. I had an M8 marked one that I bought new in 1968. Early guns were made in Belgium and later manufactured in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. The "Made in Belgium" early guns carry a small premium (10% or so) but probably aren't any better from a functionality perspective. 0 -
Here you go- from the Browning website: http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/detail.asp?id=18
PS- Browning says first year of manufacture 1968.0
