Winchester 94 front sight bead
The front sight beads of Win 94 are made out of what? Are they removable?

They made them out of several things; brass, copper, blued steel, and in early years, ivory (later it was a form of white plastic). I have never tried taking one apart, but the bead should be removable. 0 -
yes you can remove the bead with a pair of parallel jaw pliers. then just tap it back in. i must remove them before i put the sight in the bluing tanks. the stem is just crimped in at the top of the sight. 0 -
Thanks for the replies. If they are removable where I can find one? I need one or a complete vintage front sight without the base. 0 -
Small Brass tack with rounded head sold in packs at Lowes/Home Depot. Cut off to have just a shot shank to go into hole in your sight. 0 -
