Daewoo K2 - 1:7 or 1:12 ??
How does one determine if a Daewoo K2 has a 1:7 or a 1:12 ROT?
I have no original box to reference.
Thank you.

A tight patch on a swivel handle cleaning rod, a magic marker, and a ruler will let you figure it out.
I start the patch in the barrel, put a little "flag" of masking tape on the rod, and make a mark on the rod next to some spot on the gun. I then advance the rod until the "flag" has made one complete revolution and make another mark on the rod. I then pull the rod out and measure the distance between marks, which is the rifling pitch.0 -

+1.
You can use this trick (or something similar) to measure the rate of twist on any rifle barrel.0 -

Thank you both. I will follow your advice and check it when the rifle arrives.
Another K2 question if I may, is the original muzzle device easily replaced? I wish to install a Smith Enterprise DC Vortex.0 -

On my MAX2 it is threaded on like a AR. It looks like a AR flash hider. I know the MAX1 has a different looking one.

Sorry, I messed up last night, meaning to activate your account on the DRP forum, I got sidetracked.
You can easily tell which it is by looking down the bore. The 1/7.3 is a really tight twist, the 12 is much less intense.0 -

I will look down the bore when the rifle arrives at my FFL dealer.0
