Webley Hawk Mark III

The air rifle might bring anywhere from $100 to $200 here and possibly a little more if the bidders are familiar with the Webley Hawk Mark III. However, in the UK, you could get somewhere between $200 and $400 U.S. dollars for it. What hurts it is that from what you have said, it is mssing the (knob adjustable) rear sight and does not have a scope on it.

You could try to sell it locally or list it here on the auction side at www.gunbroker.com or another gun auction site. Since they are great shooting air rifles, you might want to find a rear sight and keep it.

Thank you for the information. I guess I will try to sell it here. I have no idea how to reach UK buyers. Have to find a box to ship it in though!

Thank you to everyone for your help and information! I now have a box to ship in and I went thru all the steps to register and list. I read the conditions and requirements to ship the rifle but I am not totally comprehending it all. Will I be able to ship this USPS?

You can put the Air Rifle up for auction on the auction side, then bring up the auction, edit your last post and copy and paste the URL for the auction into the post. You could also note in the post that it is on the auction side and the link you have provided will take the members to it.

As for posting pics, go to the 9th Sticky from the top of the Forum and it will instruct you how to post pics. I have a Photobucket account and just upload my' pics to their' website. Once saved, I copy the URL (by right clicking on the image, clicking on Properties, then right click and drag on the URL) and paste them between the img with brackets around it and img with a bracket and slash/slant to the left and bracket to the right (sorry, when posted as they are, you only get a Red X showing) provided at the top of the Post Edit Screen (the 4th Icon from the right under Format, the one with the yellow box with mountains at the bottom), then click on Post New Reply and they should show up in the post. If you have any trouble, just email the pics to me or another member and we can post them for you.

I have another question about the value of an item. I have two Healthways Plainsman .75 bb pistols that I would like to sell. Is there any value in them?

Hi, I have inherited this air rifle from my father. He passed away in 1995 so I have had to do a little research. I believe that this was manufactured in the late 70's (77-79). I am trying to find a forum to see about selling it. I can't list it on Ebay or {elsewhere} and I am not really sure of its worth. It is in decent shape, no rust at all, the stock has a little wear but no cracks or damage. It still works also. It has the .177 barrel and from the drawing that I found, it may be missing a sight. I thought that I remember my dad had a scope on it but I could be wrong. Anyway, if anyone knows what it may be worth and where I might be able to sell it, I would appreciate the info.

    bwood,

About $30 to $50 on average but possibly more if they are like new! There is tons of information on them on the Web, one currently on the auction side and quite a few others that were on but the auctions have ended.

I'm probably telling you something you already know. Don't dry fire these guns. Probably more seals and pistons have been damaged by doing this than any other reason.

    bwood19,

Congratulations on your first ever Gunbroker Auction! The pics are great and the description is great but I would recommend one change. The rifle does not need to be shipped via Registered Mail and due to the extra cost for this service, will turn off many bidders and potential bidders. Just note that the item will be Insured and with Delivery Confirmation. That is really all that is needed and what most Bidders/Buyers expect!

    Good luck!
