anybody shooting punkinballs out of their model 50
just thought i'd ask,,,or should've i asked is it safe to shoot smooth-bore slugs out of a winchester model 50,,,all replies appreciated,,,thanks

I do not recall Winchester ever stating not to use rifled slugs in their Model 50. The old style rifled slug should be OK to use. The more open chokes seem to give the best accuracy - Imp. Cyl. and Mod. Full choke gives the worst accuracy, usually. That is what i have read in the gun publications. 0 -
