CA. Sales?
I am not an ffl dealer but have a firearm listed on here for sale. I see a lot of "NO SALES TO CA" This maybe stupid but why are dealers and individuals not wanting to or able to sale to CA. I know them and other states like NY. have laws about hi-cap guns.
Thanks
Thanks

dealers have to register with the cal dept of justice and get an OK to ship firearms to cali 0 -
As stated by Fordsix, an FFL has to register with the California State Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms for the permission to engage in interstate commerece. Due to this there are many dealers who would prefer to deny millions of potential buyers who happen to be California residents their second admendment rights because they might be put through the horriable hardship of dealing with the California State Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms 0 -

Maybe you should re-think who it is that is denying your rights! If you don't like it, MOVE! Don't try to blame the dealer. I suppose the manufacturer who doesn't want to send the CA DOJ one of each of their guns for testing is also denying you your rights?? Get your priorities straight.0 -
Thanks everyone for the info. 0 -

moose, I spoke of both the fraudulant state inforcement that denies the rights of the citizen along with the seller who also denies the buyer, why are you so defensive over this?
I choose to live in this state because it it were my friends and family are. I am disabled and rarely get a chance to shoot, when I do shoot I compete in Benchrest or Disabled class Skeet were I shoot from a wheelchair, so in truth the laws do not effect me directly.
In this state my wife runs a successful business, I have close to 75 family members that live withen 40 miles of my home along with a climent that works better with my disability, plus I live less than 5 miles from the nearest VA hospital that I happen to spend 2 to 3 days a week in, so yes, my priorities are straight. I am not about to up root my family and loose everything that I have worked so hard for over these past 40 years for the selfish ambition to live in a state that has less restrictive firearms laws. My only wish is that other shooters in these less restrictive states would help support those of us in the PRK by the simple act of selling us the firearms that we have the money and right to purchase. So again, why are you so defensive moose?0 -

Agree with you that clearly the state is denying our rights, I feel for the sellers who would probably like to sell to us were it not made difficult. But the loudmouths who do the "I'm proud to not sell to CA" - sorry, indirectly they are helping the antigunners. I've noticed a few are from NY, MA and IL too. [:0]
Progunners in this state vote, fight and go to court. We just got a pro-gun sheriff in Sacramento who issues CCW with "self defense" as a reason, may not seem like much but it's a big change. Every state has its problems, I think WI still totally prohibits concealed carry, correct? I'm guessing you wouldn't be too keen if a seller responded with "I could sell you this gun, but I won't because it's a 2" Smith and since you can't CCW I might get in trouble". I'm guessing you'd be PO'd.
A little hand sticking it to the antigunners by getting guns in can help give the government a little "screw you" and fortunately there are lots of sellers who do.
BTW, if all the progunners move out of CA this state will end up sending about 55 antigun legislators to Congress and that's not good for anyone.
BTW, that's a darn interesting picture in the profile - even in San Fran I'd have to keep an eye out for something more unusual than that ....[;)]0
