Post a pic if you can, so that condition might be better determined.
Condition is everything. Ithaca made several different models of Hammerless SxS guns. But based on your serial number it appears to be the Flues model. 1908 production year, which was the first year for this model. This was the base "Ithaca" branded model, mostly considered a feild grade hunter. Being that the gun is very early they might be Damascus barrels, I have seen some out there.

One of the users that have a gun values book handy will chime in I am sure, but I would say that $200-400 is a good range in today's market for a gun of average condition.
Check out what Flues Models are going for on GB.

Ithaca did not make or manufacture faux damascus barrels. The serial number on you gun indicates that you have a late production "Lewis" model that was manufactured in 1907. If you can post a few pictures, it will help to ID your Ithaca.

The Flues Model guns were made with fluid steel barrels. See my previous reply.

The information I have shows the Lewis model as ending in 1906 with Serial number starting for that year at 123677.
The Flues started in 1908 with sereal number range that year of 175000 - 182031.
There is a Flues on GB right now with twist steel barrels that were made in 1913. And antoher with true damascus steel barrels made in 1911. There are a few others, but no need to point them all out.
They all are grade 1 or higher guns. The field grade guns may have only had only fluid steel, but higher grades had twist and damascus as an option.
    Again, pictures would be helpful.

Thanks for the update and correction[:)]. I had not ever seen an early Flues Model with a damascus (or twist) barrel before[:I].

    No Problem Bert.

Farafone, please do post pics if you can.
Another question for you would be if there is any engraving at all on the receiver or trigger group plate (other than the ithaca name with the dog). The Field grades would have been plain, but the higher grades would have anything from accent and outline engraving to full blown florals.
The existence of Damascus barrels on yours hints that it might be a higher grade gun hence worth more.

Another thing to check to determine the Grade on a Flues Model would be on the table of the receiver (where the barrels set). The Serial number will be on the right side and on the left side will have the grade and the gauge stamped in it. Yours would be marked "12" and the grade will be above it. "S" was for Field (or base) and the premium grades went up in numbers. 1, 1-1/2, 2, 3, etc...
