"Where in my thread Mr. Moderator"?

There appears to be a misconception that a thread posted in this forum is somehow etched in stone and cannot be moved to another forum. Anything posted in Ask The Experts can be moved or edited at the whim of the staff and with no explanation or notification needed. This is covered in the posting guidelines which everyone agreed to when they came on board. Unless a violation of the rules is egregious (profanity, racisim, bigotry, threats or insults to members or staff), threads are very seldom deleted here in ATE and if you can't find your masterpiece where you left it in ATE then chances are good it was moved to another forum. There are different forums designed for different purposes and it is my feeling that this one is reserved for the intelligent discussion of firearms, ammunition, ballistics and the shooting sports. This is not a place for auction support issues, to run a want ad, to get on a soapbox and vent your political views, or to discuss topics like arming yourself for the apocalyptic battle against zombies or SHTF scenarios. Anything dealing with zombies or SHTF goes over to General Discussion, want ads go to the Want Ad forum and politic goes to the political forum or to GD.

Over the years members have made it clear to me that they prefer a techical forum where civility is the number one rule and that they do not want the sort of behavior that is prevelent in the other forums. If I have been misreading the feelings of the forum then by all means respond here or e-mail me.

    Feel free to simply delete those inane zombie and SHTF threads. I do enough poofing in the GD forum and don't need any more! [;)]

    Don't think for a minute that you guys over "there" are going to get off the hook that easy. GD is the dedicated forum for zombie issues of all sorts, and that includes zombies by way of natural causes, nuclear zombies, biological zombies and zombies resulting from participation in firearms auction/sales sites other than Gun Broker! I am going to refer everyone on the web who is looking for anti-zombie weapons to post ads over in the Want Ads Forum.
