M1 GARAND BARREL SERVICE

I AM LOOKING FOR A PRO TO REMOVE & REPLACE THE BARRELS ON A COUPLE OF GARANDS. I HAVE NEW US GI BARRELS THAT NEED TO BE INSTALLED.

    Dean's Gun Restoration & Orion 7 both have excellent reputations.

    But, this is not that difficult a job for a competent gunsmith with a lathe. If you can find someone local, you will save yourself $100 in shipping charges.

    EDIT: Fulton Armory does excellent work; however, they require that you first pay them for a technical inspection (about $90) before they will work on a rifle.

    Geez..I wuz 'gonna strip down an M1 to the bare receiver (and stripped bolt), and send it to F/A for barrel replacement!
