You have an East German Makarov pistol made in 1962. Very high quality Makarov. They generally sell for $250-450 depending on condition. Visit this site for lots of Makarov information:

Yes, most folks acknowledge that the East German Makarovs were the best-made of this Russian-designed military sidearm, especially so, regarding the fit and finish of the weapon.

In my opinion, Pretty much all Makarovs are "high quality" weapons, even though some of them can be considered "rough" as far as their fit and finish is concerned. I say "high quality" from the perspective that Makarovs, generally speaking, are very reliable, even though they may have a heavy trigger pull and be a little rough as far as their fit and finish go. I believe the Makarov to be an excellent self defense weapon, especially for someone on a budget. The guns are ultra-reliable unless someone has hosed it up by "gunsmithing" it. My advice is to leave it as-is.

The 9x18mm round that the Makarov fires is not interchangeable with any other ammunition. Some Makarovs that were made for export (generally to the USA) after the fall of the Soviet Union and the Soviet Bloc in general, were chambered in .380 Automatic Colt Pistol, (a.k.a .380acp, 9x17mm or 9mm Kurz). Again, the .380 and the 9x18mm Makarov rounds are not interchangeable.
