Case Trimmer Pilots - Lyman Vs RCBS
I have a Lyman manual case trimmer that I'm not real happy with. I just purchased a new manual RCBS trimmer. (I got a really good deal on it at Berry's Manufacturing as a closeout item.)I realize that the shell holders are different.
My question is about the pilots. I have a full line of Lyman pilots. Will the Lyman pilots work in the new RCBS case trimmer? Any info, including a possible work around -(Someone told me they don't fit because the stems are too small for the RCBS. The suggestion was to wrap some masking tape or fishing line around the stems so they fit. Sounded a bit far fetched for me.)I'd truly appreciate.

No the RCBS trimmer pilots will not fit. I have a Lyman universal trimmer, very inconsistent lengths. Have one RCBS pilot, no way that going to work.
I now have a Hornady "tower of power". Works real good.0
