Handgun Recognition Help
Can anyone help me figure out what it is I have here? It looks pretty old and in great condition, in my opinion, for how old it appears to be.
I'm trying to find the following:
What is it?
Who made it?
When was it made?
Where was it made?
Value? (I know value is in the eye of the beholder...just asking for your opinion as I'm trying to gauge a starting point)
Thanks so much!

Rast-Gasser Austrian military issue revolver. Fires the 9mm Gasser round I believe. Solid frame, mechaical rod ejector. They were well made and a good design in thier time. Served a loooong time until the 1907 Roth Steyr and 1911/12 Steyr Hahn aotoloaders. They were in reserve service and used as such until the end of WWII. Some condition issues I would think render this about a $300 to $350 gun. Mechanical condition is pretty good, but you should see one with the original rust blueing above %90...they ooze old world quality. Nice looking and seems all correct.
The Hamilton Boy's rifle looks neat, and they always get collectors attention. Condition again is a bit low for a top dollat collectable, but most of these were used by little kids and they tended to use them up, so it would rate better than average to be sure. I cannot claim to be very well versed in these model 23's, but I would guess around $350 on this one.0 -
Sorry I don't know how that Boys rifle got in there! But thank you.
I had looked online and any example I saw where Rast-Gasser was involved, it said both Rast & Gasser so is there a chance this is something different as it only says Gasson on it? Thanks so much.0 -

Since it's dated 1906 with a comparatively high serial number. It's possible that it was made at the tail end of production. Just prior to the Austro-Hungarian armies adopting the Model 1907 Roth-Steyr pistol. Perhaps it was a bottom of the barrel parts gun assembled for commercial sale? Because of this Rast's name wasn't used as on the military issue revolvers used by the Austro-Hungarian forces?0
